Introducing the Lisuan Tech 7G106 Gaming GPU

Lisuan Tech, a Chinese deep-tech startup, has unveiled the new 7G106 gaming GPU. The company aims to capture a significant portion of the PC gaming graphics market, starting with China. The Chinese gaming industry prioritizes engaging gameplay over cutting-edge visual effects, targeting a broad audience with mainstream GPUs. The 7G106 is designed to be a locally developed GPU that offers familiarity to gamers without the high prices of established brands.

Key Features of the Lisuan Tech 7G106

The 7G106 is based on Lisuan Tech's TrueGPU graphics architecture. It is built on the TSMC N6 (6 nm DUV) foundry node and supports DirectX 12, Vulkan 1.3, and OpenGL 4.6. The GPU features a SIMD engine for calculations, with a maximum throughput of 24 TFLOP/s (FP32). It comes with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, a video acceleration engine for high-resolution decoding and encoding, and four DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. The GPU communicates over a PCI-Express 4.0 x16 interface.

Virtual GPU Feature

The 7G106 includes a Virtual GPU feature that supports up to 16 containers for sharing the GPU in virtualized environments.

Performance and Benchmarks

During the launch event, the 7G106 demonstrated its capabilities by playing "Black Myth Wukong" at 4K Ultra HD resolution and achieving playable framerates. It scored 26,800 points in 3DMark Fire Strike and 111290 points in Geekbench 6.4.0 OpenCL benchmark.

Future Plans

Lisuan Tech has not disclosed information on upcoming SKUs or pricing, as they are still in the early stages of development. The company also announced the 7G105 graphics card for the professional market, featuring 24 GB VRAM.
