AMD Radeon GPU Profile Manager

Owners of AMD Radeon GPUs now have the ability to try enabling FSR 4 in a wider range of games, thanks to a new community tool called "AMD GPU Profile Manager." This tool, created by developer Mikhail and showcased by content creators like Ancient Gameplays, bypasses the driver whitelist to allow users to modify AMD Adrenalin profile databases. Specifically designed for Radeon RX 9000 series cards, the manager lets users add or edit entries that typically require official driver support. It focuses on titles that already support FSR 3.1, enabling users to experiment with FSR 4 by first enabling FSR 3 in-game or before launching, and then monitoring Adrenalin for indications that FSR 4 injection is active. Additionally, the tool includes quick add buttons for recent test builds and a one-click option to import profiles from AMD tech preview drivers, which is useful for users who have reverted to older drivers and lost newly added entries. Its goal is to restore functionality and provide power users with a way to explore while AMD finalizes its official whitelisting process.

However, it is important to note some cautions. The utility does not guarantee success in all titles, and attempting to force FSR 4 into games with anti-cheat protections or online multiplayer can lead to crashes, false positives, or account penalties. Community-maintained lists, demonstrations, and project notes can help users identify which games are compatible and which are not. Users are encouraged to back up driver profiles before making changes and to refrain from applying forced profiles in competitive settings until developers officially support them. The developer plans to introduce more profile editing features in the future, with the potential for the project to evolve into a comprehensive profile manager similar to established tools in other GPU ecosystems.
