Intel Launches AI PC Acceleration Program to Drive AI Development in the PC Industry

Intel has introduced the AI PC Acceleration Program, a global initiative aimed at accelerating the development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the PC industry. The program aims to connect independent hardware vendors (IHVs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) with Intel resources, including AI toolchains, co-engineering, hardware, design resources, technical expertise, and co-marketing opportunities. These resources will help maximize the performance of AI and machine learning (ML) applications, accelerate new use cases, and connect the wider PC industry to the solutions emerging in the AI PC ecosystem.

The AI PC represents a new era in the PC industry, characterized by the increasing availability of software enhanced by AI and ML algorithms. These applications empower users to create art, make music, synthesize knowledge, and work more efficiently. Intel is at the forefront of this transition, offering robust architectures for the central processing unit (CPU), graphics processing unit (GPU), and neural processing unit (NPU) to optimize the performance and power efficiency of AI software.

"Intel recognizes that software leadership is crucial to the AI PC experience, and we are uniquely positioned to lead the industry with an open ecosystem approach. With our extensive experience in AI development and strong relationships with ISVs, Intel will play an active role in fostering connections and innovations that drive new use cases and experiences on the PC," said Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Client Computing Group at Intel.

The AI PC Acceleration Program will provide IHVs and ISVs with access to Intel's engineering talent for software optimizations and tuning, core development tools, software developer kits, and go-to-market opportunities. Intel is already working with over 100 ISVs on more than 300 AI-accelerated features, collaborating with companies such as Adobe, BlackMagic, CyberLink, MAGIX, Skylum, Wondershare Filmora, and Zoom to enhance PC experiences in areas such as audio effects, content creation, gaming, security, streaming, and video collaboration.

The AI PC Acceleration Program is an extension of Intel Partner Alliance's AI Accelerator Initiative, which enables ISV partners to build, optimize, and deploy AI solutions across various platforms.
