ZALMAN Introduces CNPS13X Black Tower-Type CPU Cooler

ZALMAN has unveiled the CNPS13X Black tower-type CPU cooler, featuring an illuminated and stylized top-plate. This cooler is one of the first in the company's line of side-flow tower type coolers to have a contemporary design. The cooler is equipped with a typical aluminium fin-stack tower type heatsink, which is slightly offset to the left side to minimize interference with the motherboard's memory area. Heat is transferred from the processor to the aluminium fin-stack through a nickel-plated copper base and five 6 mm-thick copper heat pipes. The cooler is then ventilated by a 120 mm ZALMAN AF120 fan.

The base of the cooler incorporates a reverse direct-touch heat pipe arrangement, which reduces the space between the heat-source and the heatpipes, resulting in improved conductivity. The included fan features a hydraulic bearing with a lifespan of 40,000 hours and a webbed impeller that guides airflow axially. It operates at speeds ranging from 600 to 2,000 RPM, delivering up to 69.12 CFM of airflow, with a static pressure of 2.01 mm H₂O and a maximum noise output of 29.7 dBA. The top plate of the cooler supports 3-pin addressable RGB input. The ZALMAN CNPS13X Black is designed to handle a thermal load of 240 W. The dimensions of the cooler are 135 mm x 79 mm x 159 mm (WxDxH), and it weighs 810 g. Pricing details have not been disclosed by the company.
