A recent PassMark benchmark leak has provided an early look at what appears to be AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7 9700X3D processor. This new CPU is expected to refresh AMD’s mid-range gaming lineup, building on the company’s successful 3D V-Cache technology.
Ryzen 7 9700X3D: Specifications and Performance
According to the benchmark listing, the Ryzen 7 9700X3D features eight cores and sixteen threads, utilizing AMD’s latest Zen 5 architecture. The processor is equipped with a substantial 96 MB of L3 cache, a hallmark of AMD’s 3D V-Cache design, which has proven to deliver significant gaming performance improvements in previous generations.
The leaked data shows a boost clock of up to 5.8 GHz, though this figure may reflect early engineering samples or overclocked results rather than final retail specifications.
