ADATA Technology Co., Ltd. is a leading memory brand committed to achieving extreme performance breakthroughs. While PCIe Gen 5 SSDs are incredibly fast, they generate a lot of heat, which can affect stability and product lifespan. To address this issue, ADATA has developed innovative cooling solutions that will be announced during Computex 2023. These patented SSD cooling solutions will not only outperform the competition but also lead in heat dissipation.

The Project NeonStorm Gen 5 solid-state drive (SSD) is the first M.2 SSD in the industry to feature a liquid and fan-cooled heat dissipation design. It uses coolant to absorb heat, which is then dissipated by dual fans, creating a perfect convection ecosystem. The LEGEND 970 Gen 5 SSD features a dual-layer aluminum alloy heatsink and fan that creates active air cooling and a surface crystallization coating that improves thermal conductivity. The SE920 USB4 external SSD has a built-in micro fan that quickly discharges heat when the retractable casing is extended.

These designs are expected to become the most influential benchmark for extreme storage in the consumer market. The Project NeonStorm SSD delivers transfer speeds of up to 14,000/12,000 MB per second and features a dual-system design with both liquid and air cooling. The LEGEND 970 SSD delivers read/write performance of up to 10,000/10,000 MB per second and is designed with dual-layer extruded aluminum fins to create a dense air duct. The SE920 External SSD utilizes the latest generation USB4 transmission interface with a read/write of 3,800/3,200 MB per second and features an extendable cooling system with a built-in micro fan.

These innovative cooling solutions significantly reduce SSD temperatures and improve stability and long-term high-performance operation. The LEGEND 970 begins mass production at the end of June and will be unveiled at Computex ahead of schedule. The SE920 has won several awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, Japan GOOD Design Award, and Taiwan Excellence Award in the last 2 years.
